Guided hike through lush rainforest near Arenal Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide you will safely explore primary and secondary rainforest and the animals and plants that live there. On the trail is a volcano observation point that offers the nearest possible observation point at the base of Arenal Volcano. After enjoying the sunset the view becomes even more awesome when on clear nights you can see the lava flow of Central America's most-active volcano and if you're lucky, you may be able to hear the eruption or the thuds as large lava rocks come tumbling down the side of cone shaped Arenal Volcano. Note thought that over the last few months that the volcano has not seen much lava activity. However, tours are still very interesting as you learn about the history of this impressive volcano!

 

Guided Arenal Volcano Night Hike Ends 5:30-6.00 pm. Option to transfer to Hot Springs:

For those who wish to continue enjoying the benefits of a highly volcanic setting the tour continues on to a choice of several of the local thermal hot springs in the area:Los Lagos Resort,  Baldi Hot Springs, and the luxurious 'The Springs Resort' Los Perdidos Hot Springs.

1) Baldi Hot Springs where on a clear night you will get an outstanding view of Arenal Volcano by night. Baldi Hot Springs is located in a beautiful location where you can sit and soak and enjoy tropical gardens and steamy nights. The Springs offer restaurants, swim-up bars, changing rooms and lockers, spa, massages, several different temperature hot springs, natural pools, waterfalls, and swimming pools.

 

2. The Springs Resort (Los Perdidos)

Relatively new hot springs called 'The Springs' (Los Perdidos). This is less crowded, very luxurious and has great views of Arenal Volcano. It is slightly further out than the other hot springs but the views are worth it!

Los Lagos Natural Hot Springs has 10 secluded pools with different temperatures and access to Crocodile & Frog Pond and Butterfly Farm.. Visitors can also enjoy the cold pool with slides and children’s facilities and there is a great spa, lovely tropical gardens, restaurant and bar, plus fantastic views of the volcano.
